River Rowan was originally created by Molly Macklin, who used vintage brooches and earrings to construct statement necklaces. Molly grew up around her grandpa's antique store and she always had a love for old treasures. After college, Molly moved to Chicago briefly, to experience the lifestyle of a “big city”, which is where a lot of the over the top inspiration and style was fostered. Molly has always been extremely creative, and truly enjoyed taking something, someone has discarded and remaking it into an amazing statement piece that someone else could wear again.

 Now, River Rowan has grown into a modern, handcrafted brand, featuring layering necklaces, beaded bracelets, and earrings. One of the most common questions is, “Where did the name River Rowan come from?” The answer is simple- Molly’s sweet babies.. Brixton River and Brilynd Rowan. Molly always believed the name of the company should have significant meaning and nothing in her life has more.
